When daddy feels guilty

So I never gave the full story about what happened to Wyatt. He was in the back of Derek's truck playing (which is normal, they hang out alot outside). Wyatt was wearing flip flops and tripped over them. Derek has this Cylinder rack that holds his big cylinders against the truck box (it is in a shape of a W) and we think that is what he hit. So Derek is feeling really guilty, he felt so bad at the hospital, he kept saying he was sorry and that as soon as he got home the ywould take the rack down. I tried to tell him that kids get hurt all the time and that it wasn't his fault, but he feels so bad.

SO ya when he came home from work today this is what he brought home for Wyatt. Wyatt loves all these machines, he and Derek talk about them all the time because Derek uses them everyday at work. He is so happy, they are on the floor right now playing.

First visit to the ER

And I would like to not to do it again.

The day went like this- I ran to Walmart to get some stuff for the garden, when I got to the register I realized I did not have my wallet. So I ran home to get it, got back to Walmart and to the sliding doors and the phone rings, it is Derek. The only thing I hear is "You have to come home right now Wyatt cut his head and it looks pretty bad." Not what a mother wants to hear. So I ran back to the car and raced home.
Took one look and said oh yea he needs to go to the ER. It wasn't just a cut it was a hole, You could have stuck a pencil eraser in it it was so deep. The doctor said it went through the skin to the muscle and that was what we could see in the hole, the muscle (um gross)
The dark red spot is the hole.
Wyatt was not happy at first when they put this on him until it was our turn, but after about 30 min he was OK with it.
He saw another girl coloring and wanted to color too so he got a book from the nice people at the counter and kept busy till it was out turn.
Man ER's have gotten way nicer, they had a flat screen TV in there, so we watched a cartoon while we waited for the doctor.

Here the doctor is putting the glue on the owie.
I was so amazed, Wyatt did so good. The only time he cried due to PAIN was when the doctor kept opening and closing the hole (can't blame him it made me nauseous). He siad the whole time that it didn't hurt.
So this is our first ER visit and with the way he is and how much he likes to hang out with the big boys I am sure it won't be out last.

Just ordered

Wyatt's Birthday Present.
He loves to play with this thing at Preschool and at the Castle Park so Derek really wanted to get it for him. He is going to love it.
And as you have probably notice that I have not been talking about planning Wyatt's party, this year we are going to Chuck E Cheese, all we have to do is show up. He has been talking about it since last year, seriously every time we drive by Chuck E Cheese, talk about birthdays or he just thinks about it.
How cute our these invites.

Our week so far

So our week has been nothing but normal I guess, just had some pics I wanted to share.

Monday I switched the room around (you knew that already, see post below) and I mowed half the yard while it was nice out.

Tuesday my sister, Jenefer, came over and helped me start my garden, we dug out the edges of it and then Derek went and got his tattoo.

Wednesday Derek came home from work and we finished cleaning up the yard, finished mowing and I edged the house and yard.

Yup that is about it for us for the week. Today Wyatt has school and then we will come home and hang out inside because it's raining out. Which is good my flowers needed some water.

Also here are some pics from last Friday of Wyatt getting down with his guitar. He is so funny when he plays it, he like to rock out.

When the hubbies away....

The wife will change the room around.

So Derek left last night for several hours to go look at the drawing of his tattoo he will be getting and I was on such a roll yesterday that I decided to change our room around. I really wanted to uncover the hidden window.

Here are some old shots of before. The long window was hidden by the dresser. And the bed was under the high window. (Can you see the tall window peeking up behind the dresser.)
Now, the bed is on the other side of the room facing the high window and the dresser is on the wall the bed used to be freeing up the long window.

School Art work

So Ali Edwards blogged today about what she is planning on doing with her kids school paperwork and artwork.
This got me motivated to post a pic of what I am doing with Wyatt's stuff.
When he brings stuff home I have been taking a pic of it, it then will hang on the fridge until new stuff comes in. Whne I replace these items I now don't feel bad just throwing them away because I have a pic of it. I then will be scrapping each month's artwork. Here is one I did with a sleeve protector others will just be done in a layout.
Make sure you read the comments on Ali's blog there are a ton of great ideas if you aren't sure what you are doing.
I would love to here and see what you do too!

Fun Thursday

Wyatt had a field trip yesterday at the Library in bremerton. They had a lot of fun, they got to read books, sing, jump around, had stories read to them and it was so nice outside they got to have a picnic for lunch. That morning Wyatt saw a cartoon where they made a hopscotch so when we got home from the preschool hewanted to make one himself. It was a great sunny day.

Building a birdhouse with daddy

Wyatt has been talking alot about wanting to build a bird house, since last summer I think. While at Lowes one day we saw that it would be their next free clinic, so we decided to try it. We had so much fun, ok well I just went along to take pictures, but they had alot of fun. Wyatt got a snack, certificate, to keep the googles and apron adn they even got a patch to put on their apron.

Here is daddy showing Wyatt how to fix it if it isn't perfect.LOL
